Virgin Atlantic
A magnet of interesting.
It’s true. If we had a middle name, you can bet, it would be something like “interesting”. And we’re not just saying it. Those who have flown us know. Our loyal patrons just happen to be our biggest fans. We have a point of view. We do things the way we would want things done. And yeah, sometimes we are a little cheeky. And cheeky is fun. We’re certainly not boring, oh no. Pleasing the masses is boring. Being an acquired taste now that’s interesting. And the reality is we aren’t for everyone. Our guests are an interesting mix of lyricists, politicians, firemen, salsa instructors and anthropologists.
A flight aboard Virgin is not all that different from a great cocktail party; what makes it wonderful is the eclectic mix of people who show up. And it only makes sense, when you give the world some options, pay a attention to the little stuff, challenge people to expect more, well more often than not, it’s generally the real forward thinkers – the real movers and shakers who hear you. In a sea of “OK” and insincere corporate BS, we’re taking a stand and showing our human side. We’re raising the bar, and not just a smidgen. It’s about time someone stopped worrying about what the Board will say and just decided to have a little fun. It’s time to celebrate interesting. And that’s just what we’re doing.

A large-format coffee table book was the agency’s leave behind. Pages from that book are featured below.
When did “OK” become “OK”?
As a nation, we have lowered our expectations. We have grown accustomed to average, pretty much given up on quality , and most of us are of the "Don't expect much, and you won't be disappointed" mindset. "Exceptional as the standard", for the most part, is a thing of the past. Where did it all go wrong? When did "Ok" become "ok"?
“Getting there is half the fun” became obsolete with the advent of commercial airlines. - Henry J. Tillman
And we thinking nothing of it. We work longer hours, take fewer vacations and how do we reward ourselves?
With mediocrity.

When did the definition of an “upgrade” change so dramatically?

“ I think it is a pity to lose the romantic side of flying and simply accept it as a common means of transport.” - Amy Johnson
“The time to go into business is when it’s abysmally run by other people.” - Sir Richard Branson
Here’s an idea.
Let’s make things more interesting. Seems easy enough, right? When it comes to air travel, you are not just spending your money, you’re spending your time. So isn’t that reason enough to cry out for a little more intrigue. Free us from grey seats and grey faces. Give us interesting things to try and experience and interesting people to talk to. And while you are at it … rethink all that is obvious. Give us some options. Shake things up a bit. Free us from the cramped quarters of yet another dreaded flight.
Make the flight as exciting as the destination. And for the love of God … give us some elbow room.
Interesting is greater than “ok”
And now for something completely interesting.
A more interesting approach - Leads to a more interesting experience - Which attracts more interesting people -
Which allows you to speak to them in a more interesting way - Which keeps them interested in you.
Interesting
It’s about time someone stepped up and owned the idea of “interesting”. Really lived and breathed it. In many ways Virgin Atlantic has already taken a stand. Showed their human side. They’ve surprised and delighted us. Met out needs no matter how small. They’ve raised the bar, and not just a smidgen. They’re the antidote to the expected. Not worried about what the Board will say, they’re just having fun. From the air sickness bags to the club houses … they celebrate “interesting” like no one else.
And we’re totally on board with that.
Thanks to Virgin Atlantic’s Complimentary in-flight entertainment system, you get over 50 movies, 35 video games, a premium selection of TV programming, as well as a dozen different movie channels to choose from.
Mmmm … now that’s interesting.

Bear Naked Granola
A new kind of crunchy.
The goal was to debunk the stereotypical impressions of who eats granola and the ideas of what it often tastes like. An honest, light-heart way to disassociate with the pop-cultural idea of “crunchy” as a lifestyle and be more inclusive by encouraging EVERYONE to try some - not just outdoorsy-hippie-hiker-types.
It pokes fun at the slang use of the word “crunchy” in a tongue and cheek way that appeals even to “crunchy folks.”
